Hey rick,
Where are you? I live in Orleans county NY. I paddle with a few people who live in Niagara Falls. One our favorites is in my back yard (Oak Orchard Creek). We start near Medina and finish near Kenyonville.

Hello Rick, as you can see, almost nobody uses this site anymore. I've been almost the only one posting lately and not many responses of interest. Hope you can find someone to paddle Lake Ontario with you. It's a pitty but we are all spread out over a few states. The closest to me is Kalamazoo and Ft. Wayne (I'm in Elkhart IN).

Thanks for the reply and interest Pat. I wouldn't recommend that paddle to anyone unless they like that kind of challenge. It's deffinitely the busiest paddle for me ever.

Tom, great pictures, those log jams are something else, You sure looked worn out after that trip.

This spring I set a goal of paddling the entire Elkhart River. There is a north branch & south branch in Noble County. They meet up east of Ligonier and continue through Goshen to flow into the St. Joseph River in downtown Elkhart. Tuesday I paddled the final leg of the south branch. It was very very very tough with 25-30 log jams of which 20 had to be portaged. It took six hours of struggling. July 10th I will be doing at least one leg or possibly all of the north branch. Then all I'll need to do is the Ligonier to Baintertown Dam to complete my quest. Please see my pics if you wish.
