My summer was good.I was out on Lake Manitou as often as I could. The lake still isn't frozen over so I'm hoping to get out on a calm evening after work.

No I have not tried that yet, but it sure looks fun! There are some wild photos on here of that. Do you hit the surf much?
I'm mostly doing flat water right now.

I do like the Pelican. It is cozy we have two of them. One is also sit on top like yours. They seem to be pretty good little boats. It has sure been enjoyable. This season was real good for us.

I saw portions of three area lakes and a few creek channels. I really enjoy the creeks. Where else can you have fish literally jumping into your boat with you??

It's great to get close to nature and get some exercise at the same time.

More info about me...

I own two kayaks. S.O.T. Pelican "Burst" single (Blue one) and S.I.K. OldTown "Vie II" tandem (Yellow one) I use the Pelican for short trips, playing around in the waves, late spring and summer use.
The "Vie II" I use for long trips, kayak camping trips as a single. The VieII ia a much faster kayak than the other and tracks great.
