Tom, great pictures, those log jams are something else, You sure looked worn out after that trip.
I just found it on the map, next to hoursehead lake.
I've never heard of Martini Lake either but it sounds like a great time with all the islands. I'll have to see if it is in my book.

- Sounds like your in the metropark area.. I have family in Dearborn Heights. So i come over alot. i love the Huron river i put in in either Kensington or island lake state rec.
Have you been up to Port austin yet ? I tried 2 times last year and First time High winds, Rain and Huge Wave... Second time High winds huge waves and wind.. i will go back this year. i want to see some of the sea stacks and sea caves...

- hi pat hope u had a great weekend !! my brother and i spent all day saterday paddiling on martini lake near big rapids it was a great time the lake is huge and it took us 6 hrs to paddle the whole thing !!!!

- hi pat !! whitefish lake is on kendelville road just south of howard city its not a big lake but it is nice my area has alot of lakes that one is just the closest to my house !! paddle--------paddle
