A sad day for kayaking. Ann Dwyer passed away.

For those of you that don't know, Ann was a really neat lady. She pretty much invented the entire genre of the "Recreational Kayak". Her company, Kiwi Kayaks, made the first kayaks that weren't targeted to hard-core river runners, or hard core sea kayakers. She kept paddling into her 80's.

In her honor, I plan to take someone brand new to kayaking out on the water this month.
