Since moving to Southern California, life has been a little crazy and busy. But mostly good. I did sneak away for a few weekends of paddling. The Kern river is the closest regularly running river to here, and I've been up there twice recently. Brush Creek is a small tributary to the Kern, and is absolutely a ball. It drops about 450 feet per mile, and it basically a series of slides and waterfalls. Super fun, and not all that difficult.

Here are some photos from 2 different weekends. Flows were higher and more fun the second weekend.
